Our Story

Tracy LaFlamme Ortega is the founder and chief executive officer of Bell Group, a consulting and solutions company, specializing in learning innovation and technology-enabled solutions to support professional development and education. Bell Group partners with organizations that seek technology-driven solutions to positively disrupt learning outcomes, customer experience, operations, and business results. 

Prior to Bell Group, Tracy founded Prepworks, a multi award-winning, education technology company. Tracy served as President and CEO of Prepworks from 2007 until its acquisition in 2018. Under Tracy's leadership, Prepworks developed an extensive library of multimedia content and proprietary technology, including the Learning Positioning System®, which delivered trillions of personalized learning paths and predictive analytics to significantly improve learners' outcomes. 

The company earned 44 national awards of excellence in education technology and was a leader in the $300 billion education technology industry. At the time of acquisition, Prepworks served online users in five continents, with more than 400,000 enrollments across 47 states and 68 countries. Following the acquisition of Prepworks by Asteria Education, Tracy joined the new company as Chief Product Officer, where she developed and launched a suite of new digital, adaptive products aligned to state standards.

In January 2020, Tracy joined Bell Group full-time as CEO, and once again, she has attracted a team of experts who are dedicated to driving value for their clients and turning ideas into technology-enabled solutions. With more than 20 years of experience in education and education technology, Tracy is a recognized thought leader in personalized learning and product design and development for corporate professional training and school-based learning.

Today, Bell Group continues to develop innovative learning solutions, employ effective training models, implement performance management tools, and design sales and marketing strategies that result in high client satisfaction and positive business results.
